STRAWBERRY BROWNIES

These soft strawberry brownies have a crunchy sweet sugar topping and just the right amount of tang. Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries washed and chopped
  • 1 16oz vanilla cake mix, no pudding added
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons milk

Instructions

 
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line a 9×9″ pan with parchment paper and Lightly grease it.
  2. Puree strawberries and strain to remove any seeds.
  3. In a large bowl, stir together cake mix and 3/4 cup strawberry puree — you can use a sturdy spoon or an electric mixer.
  4. The batter will be thick, almost like cookie dough.
  5. Spread batter into pan using a greased spatula or press it in with your hands.
  6. Bake for 23-27 minutes, until set through the middle with no jiggles.
  7. Let cool to room temperature on the counter.
